Barbados Villas on the East Coast

by Diana

The eastern coast of Barbados is the one washed directly by the Atlantic Ocean. While its windiness attracts a lot of surfers, the villas attract a lot of tourist looking to experience something really special during their vacation or holiday accommodation. Are you one of them? Have you ever heard about these awesome villa rentals on the shores of this part of the island? I was, a few years ago. I spent my honeymoon in Barbados. It was awesome!

However, while most villas are on the West coast (Sandy Lane, Holetown, Speightstown) of this amazing island, there are some cool ones on the Eastern shores as well. I suppose that when talking about the West ones, the biggest advantages seem to be those luxury restaurants where people have the chance to enjoy their specific local cuisine meals while watching the amazing panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea. If you’ll ever have the interest to spend a few minutes trying to investigate the difference in demand between the east and the west of the island you are surely going to realize that the level of tourist traffic in the west is much higher. The roads are much busier. So, if you are looking for a more quit place to rest during your vacation I can suggest you East as a pretty amazing alternative to everything that you have had the chance to experience before. Just imagine the calmness.

I’ve been in those amazing western villas that most Barbados travel agencies have to offer and that’s why I’m blogging about it. I want to make sure that people don’t make the same mistakes that I did and that they will be able to find out that something that will definitely suit their needs. If you are looking for any particular spot, decoration, place or facilities you are free to contact me. I have stayed a bunch of villas (starting with the simplest and ending with the most private VIP luxury ones). However, the thing is that most of my trips to this Island in the Atlantic Ocean called Barbados have been to the Western coast. Back then I knew that it was extremely popular, but I couldn’t figure out that famous means a lot of noise and busy night life as well. However, there are two types of people when it comes to their leisure time: those who like to party all night long and those who want to experience the freedom of resting all day in a pleasant, silent and comfortable atmosphere near the Ocean.

Now I would like to mention some of the places that I’ve been to. Have you ever heard about the Sandy Lane villa complex (I’ve mentioned it in the second paragraph of this post)? How about Payne’s Bay, Villas on the Beach or even Sunset Crest? Guys, these are some really awesome touristic attractions that you need to see at least once in your lifetime. Nevertheless, all of these are located in the West, the coast where I spent all of my time basically when going on these villa rental vacations. However, last year I decided that something different needs to be done and I spent almost one full month in one of the villas on Eastern coast of Barbados. Guys, this is not something that you do on a daily basis. I was simply amazed by everything that I was offered in the other part of the island. I’m not talking about services and luxury, but about the silence, the Ocean the people and generally much less hassle and noise. If you would like to know my personal opinion when it comes to a perfect vacation in Barbados, you will and I am definitely going to recommend the East Coast; and if you ask why – it’s all about the silence guys.

Have you ever heard about Sam’s Lord Castle Complex in the Eastern Coasts of Barbados? Well, this is exactly the place where I’ve been last year. Something really amazing! I loved it! Hmm, the location? Well, if you know where the Crane Hotel is located than I guess you won’t have any trouble finding the Castle Complex. There is a big shopping center/village being built at the moment. They are planning to make it a cultural/historical attraction for tourists. The very first moment when I reached this part of the island I was offered a really nice five bed villa (I was with my family) at the Hunter Cottage. Have you been there? It had a really nice maintained garden right in front of it. There was an awesome view directly from the balcony. I don’t know why, but the villas from the Castle Complex attracted me ten times more than all the previous ones that I visited and had the chance to accommodate myself in the western parts of the island. Maybe it is just a matter of changing something you do in life or maybe people would like to experience different options from time to time. Who knows, but I prefer my kids to be able to play in awesome green lawns, my friends to surf in the waves of the Atlantic Ocean and me to rest at the balcony of my villa without any annoying noise to disturb me
